Terms of use

These terms apply to the Discord bot Loot Goblin, the public website loot.rocks, the classic dashboard, the guild member site, and the provided APIs and webhooks. The contracting party and operator is Joscha Alhelm, c/o Autorenglück ID 60084, Albert-Einstein-Str. 47, 02977 Hoyerswerda.

1. Discord and other platforms

Discord’s terms, community guidelines and developer requirements also apply. Optional integrations are subject to the respective provider’s terms. Server admins may use the bot, webhooks and integrations only with the required authority and in accordance with their server rules.

2. Service and beta access

Loot Goblin supports guild organization, applications, members, ranks, teams and divisions, events and series, tasks, loot sessions, tickets, currencies, inventory and ships, alliances, scheduled embeds, music, moderation, calendars and integrations. Availability depends on configuration, module grants, Discord permissions and external services. /status shows technical status.

Some modules are still in development and limited to a capped group of beta testers. An application or prior grant creates no entitlement to admission, continued access, a feature set or availability. Unless a paid service is expressly agreed, use is free of charge. Any future paid offering requires a separate express agreement.

3. Access, roles and keys

1. Only an authorized person may invite the bot to a server.
2. Dashboard and guild site use personal accounts or Discord OAuth2. Visible servers and actions follow current membership, Discord permissions, guild roles and module status.
3. Credentials, sessions, API keys, calendar links, webhook secrets and integration tokens must remain confidential.
4. Server admins are responsible for roles, grants, channels, recipients and the legality of their configuration.

4. Content and files

The person submitting messages, profile fields, applications, ticket histories and attachments, event or task descriptions, loot data, embed copy, images or links is responsible for that content and confirms that they hold the necessary rights.

The operator receives a non-exclusive right limited to operating, storing, technically processing, transmitting and displaying the content for the selected feature. Content sent to Discord or an enabled integration is also governed by that provider’s terms. Illegal content may be removed or blocked after review and reported where legally required.

5. Integrations and AI

Current optional integrations include Discord, Google Calendar, Raid-Helper, Joomla with Kunena, JEvents and DPCalendar, TeamSpeak, Twitch, YouTube, X, OpenAI, xAI, UEX, FleetYards, RSI and Lavalink. Their availability, output and data are outside the operator’s control.

AI output may be incomplete or wrong and must not be relied on as legal, medical, financial or safety-critical advice. Do not send secrets, special categories of personal data or third-party confidential information to the AI feature. Embed buttons, webhooks and API calls must not trigger deceptive, harmful or unauthorized actions.

6. Alliances

Shared events, tasks and loot sessions are shared only under the one-time or standing approvals recorded for each alliance guild. Authorized representatives of every participating guild control these approvals and must inform their members.

7. Prohibited use

• Illegal use, platform-rule violations, harassment, spam, flooding, raids or unlawful content
• Bypassing roles, access controls, rate limits or security measures; attacks or malware
• Scraping, selling or repurposing Discord or guild data for profiling
• Abuse of moderation, tickets, currencies, alliances, webhooks, APIs or interactive posts
• Dangerous uploads or infringement of copyright, trade mark, personality or privacy rights

8. Availability and changes

There is no entitlement to uninterrupted operation, response times, preservation of data or compatibility with future versions of Discord and third-party APIs. Maintenance, security controls, rate limits, outages and beta changes may restrict features. Features may be changed or discontinued for an objective reason, with reasonable notice of foreseeable material changes.

9. Suspension, termination and data

Accounts, servers, keys or modules may be suspended for violations or security risks. The bot can be removed and optional connections disconnected at any time. Deletion requests go to the legal-notice contact; statutory retention and data needed for legal claims remain unaffected.

10. Liability

The operator has unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health and mandatory statutory liability. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Other liability for slight negligence is excluded where permitted by law. User content, misconfiguration and external outages follow the same standards.

11. Intellectual property

Trade marks, design and components not licensed otherwise remain with their respective owners. Open-source components are governed by their licences. Using the service does not allow presenting it or third-party content as one’s own product.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change for legal, security or functional reasons. The current version is at /nutzung; material changes will be indicated where reasonable.

13. Law and dispute resolution

German law applies, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection at the consumer’s habitual residence remains unaffected. Exclusive venue at the operator’s seat applies only to merchants and equivalent entities. The operator is neither obliged nor willing to take part in consumer arbitration. Statutory rules apply if a provision is ineffective.
